Pool access and Leasing

Many cost driven operators have decided to minimize their component related costs and maximize the availability of components by signing an agreement for pool access and/or component leasing with Finnair Technical Services. With these services the customer will have full benefit from Finnair Technical Services component stock without need to make investments on their own.

With Pool Access service the customer will receive the needed serviceable component from Finnair’s component pool as an advance exchange with the unserviceable component from customer. After recertification the exchanged component will be returned to the pool to be used when next time needed. The benefit from this service is to keep the dispatch reliability of customer’s fleet at high level with low costs. Also need for involved persons is minimized as Finnair Technical Services AOG Desk and Customer Support will take care of all related administrative tasks.

The Pool Access service is usually provided together with full logistics services covering all activities of the logistical chain (stores, packaging, forwarding, transportation, receiving inspection, etc.). The logistics services are available to any location in the world and they produced jointly with major freight companies.

The leasing of components is typically required for the most critical components and they are usually located in customer’s main base (main base kit) or onboard (flight kit). Definition of the contents of both main base kit and flight kit will be based on customer specific needs and Finnair Technical Services’ experience.
